Showing Price

Amazon Seller Topics
Hi I have listed quite a few items in the past 3 wks but none have the price showing in red under the items like others have, is there something I have missed out, thanks

Hi

Without a link to an example of one of your items, I'm not sure how to help. However, my first thought is that you have a product with options (such as colour, size) - in which case the price won't show until an option is selected. Or have you forgotten to enter the quantity?

If you can give the ASIN, we can all take a look and hopefully advise better :)

Cheers
Alison

Hi
Thank you most of them do have variations yes but even the one that don't still doesn't show the price, here is one example 6041531987

It is because you haven't got the Buy Box on that listing.

Can I put Buy Box on it?

No. It is controlled by Amazon and reflects a sellers history, stock level, speed of despatch etc.

As a new seller, you are not entitled to it but earn it over time.

Just perform as well as you can in it may be yours in a few months.

Thanks Nick , I think maybe I'm selling too expensive items for a newbie without feedback what do you think.

The value of items you are selling will not be a factor, it's mainly your performance and sales that will influence it, but it's not fully known how Amazon allocate the buy box.

Being a new seller is unlikely to see a quick allocation until you get some history and sales with a good performance record in your metrics.

To be honest, the thing that surprised me about your listing is that you are the only seller.

Perhaps it doesn't show sufficiently high on the search list and there are options which display and get bought earlier.

Unfortunately, like the buy box, the sales improve the rankings but without the ranking it is hard to achieve sales.

I can understand not getting the buy box if the seller was new and it was a competitive item, but it makes no sense whatsoever for Amazon to deny this particular seller the buy box if he is the only one presently stocking the item??
As long as he is the only one selling let him/her have the box, if others come along then he/she can compete as normal.
Not sure Amazon's rational behind this way of doing things.

I have items where I am the only seller, but I do not have the buy box.
