Mainland Only - Possible?

Amazon Seller Topics
Hello everyone!

I am trying to find out if there is a way we can change our settings so we can sell ONLY to UK Mainland (Channel Island shipping etc for us is so expensive!)

I have seen other sellers here on Amazon that have a UK Mainland only policy, I have looked through account settings but I can't see where I can do that myself (If I can).

Thanks for your help guys!

It's not strictly possible.
You have to find ways to circumvent the problem

Thanks, reading that thread helped clear some things up.

I have actually seen sellers with a Mainland only setting though, how confusing.

What other sellers have or can do isn't what you can do.

Pardon?

Seeing other sellers with mainland only does not mean you can have mainland only.

Yes, but why not? That is what I am asking, how I can do it, and if not, why?

Your reply seemed a little short of your usual informative standard, rather along the lines of " no you can't, so tough" rather than " You can't because.."

Simple go into account setting, and place any European Countries as inactive, it is simple enough process to carryout, any problems let us know and no doubt someone will help you out on here, most of us are not all bad on here, just one or two, in the main we are a pretty good lot really and have a good working knowledge of the Amazon system. Good luck.

We don't sell to anyone else other than UK so Europe is not even an active option when buying from us anyway.

We are not not in the field of expensive or large items so this may be no good fro you, but have you thought about Royal Mail Special Delivery for C.I.?

Sending smaller items by courier is too expensive agreed but we get around this to CI and NI using Royal Mail Special Delivery as it's trackable and signed for with a guarantee and it's usually under £ 7.00. Depends on size, weight and value of course.

Hi, thanks for your response!

We do tend to use Royal Mail for these sales as you're right they are a lot cheaper! But we do tend to sell some very big heavy items like tool kits and power tools and that's where we're bled dry :(

I saw on the forum suggested earlier that we can update our shipping info to these areas for a longer delivery estimate that may put buyers off, at the moment that looks like the only option
