Amazon Seller Topics
Does anyone know why the repricer is not working?

It works to reduce to the minimum price but will not increase the price again once you are the only person selling the item or that particular size of an item.

It was working and putting the price back up, now it is not. It is so time consumming to fight with this thing every day to try and get the prices sorted. What is the point of Amazon having this when it now only works to reduce prices not raise them again to you maximum price when you are not competing with anyone else?

Have raised with seller support, but not hopeful.

You do realise its still in Beta?
They will fix it when they fix it....

Yes I do realise that, but what is so annoying is that it was working correctly now it is not.

I live in hope that some day IT people will actually supply a product that has been thoroughly tested, works properly from day one and continues to work when you start it again on day two.

I have been using computers every day in the office since they became part of the job in 1980's and to be honest although the programs were really basic back then they tended to work, more or less as required.

Now well over 30 years later I am still using computers every day but now new programs tend not to work as required. Rarely live to to the the marketing hype given out about them and make life more difficult.

Why can systems not be properly tested before releasing them. Do IT people just not live in the real world where things need to be right from the start, then work and keep working accurately.

Sorry Rant over!!!

What the Customer Wanted

Having been a Software Tester in the past, i am aware of the different levels of testing, companies use and at BETA test i would expect problems, however the Amazon re-pricer is fairly basic so i can not understand why it cant raise the price when the rules allow.

Built-in obsolescence? If it wasn't flawed there wouldn't be any busy-work to do thereafter fixing it!!

Cynical, moi?

Unfortunately it's ecause most companies have found a cheaper way of testing a product. The public. Hence public Alpha and Beta tests run when there are known bugs, but still have the general public test for further issues.

Just had Chinese text again in Seller Central. Happens so often it's not usually worth mentioning but in light of 2016 being Year of the Glitch.....

To be honest, if your concerned about software working as described, then you shouldn't be using it when it BETA test.
You wait until it is released. At least at that point, you have grounds to complain.
And at the end of the day, its FREE, what do you really expect for free software?

If you want it to work, you always have the option of using one of the paid services.

You might be directing that at the wrong person. Not my thread and I haven't said I'm using it.

All the IT systems I ever worked on were tested properly, there are always problems because humans use them. Not saying you're at fault at all, just making a general observation.
