Migration of shipping settings

Amazon Seller Topics
I have migrated yesterday my shipping settings to the new system (at Amazon's invitation) mainly with the anticipation of setting up regions of Canada with various rates. I was losing out on the same shipping charges for all areas of Canada with the old system. I made 4 calls yesterday to Amazon regarding the migration. I can't setup the various regions. In the end, my 4th. call and 3 hours later, I was told that they still haven't worked out the bugs yet and so it goes. Is anyone else having problems with the migration of settings? Thanks

I was excited to see the email about finally being able to migrate, but I was soon disappointed to find out that Amazon STILL hasn't worked out many of the bugs. It has been several years now, if I'm not mistaken. That is WAY, WAY too long! It's extremely unfair that older sellers are being penalized. They expect us to start over, losing all of our feedback, if we want to adjust our shipping charges?! That's completely ridiculous. Sorry to vent, but it seems like that don't care AT ALL about Canada/Canadian sellers.

Thanks for the reply. You are exactly correct. That's what I was told by Amazon on Friday. The problem is not being able to setup the regions with the different rates. Hopefully they will get the bugs ironed out soon. Thanks again.

Not to worry. I am as frustrated as you are. My only beef with this whole migration thing, is, if you are going to introduce a new upgrade, please make sure the bugs are ironed out first before offering it. I also understood that at some point soon in 2016, all Pro Sellers will be required to migrate to the new settings, so I guess we are the test batch for the upgrade. Canadapost recently did a huge upgrade to their website and their online shipping tool was down for 2 days. Talk about frustration and headaches. Thanks.

Very true. Never thought about the Canadapost upgrade with relation to Amazon's change in shipping settings. I am looking forward to being able to adjust shipping rates by region. Hope they get the bugs ironed out very soon. Thanks.

I suspect that that Canada Post upgrade is part of the work that has to be done on their end so that Amazon can offer the sellers the ability to vary shipping by regions. I suspect that we will also have to start maintaining tracking metrics too.
