Why am i being suspended until I fill out a Tax Interview

Amazon Seller Topics
I get a performance notification saying Im suspended untill I fill out a Income Tax Interview where they ask about my U.S status and something to do with the I.R.S...WTF...Im Canadian...selling to Canadians. Anyone else getting this nonsense..

It's because you have reached the threshold where they want to submit your sales to the IRS.

US sellers will be given a 1099 form for tax purposes so that they can't cheat and say they don't sell on Amazon.

Because you are a foreign seller, you have to fill out the W8-BEN form to show you are a foreign company. Once you do that, you will be up and selling again.

Even Canadian sellers selling only on the .ca site? Seems a bit odd.

Right....

Im not a foreign seller...I sell from Canada on .ca to canadians....nothing foreign about that..lol

Thanks Dave. Yes, for some reason I had a U.S. address in my return addresses in account info. I have removed that and hopefully wont have to do anything else as it didnt belong there. I have contacted Seller Support and waiting for there response.
