creating shipments

Amazon Seller Topics
I have been sending in shipments for some time but I have yet figured out how to do it easily.

When I am selecting items to replenish/send via the Manage FBA Inventory, if I miss something and want to add it in, how do I do this? It seems that once I select Send/Replenish, I can't go back and add items that I may have missed or that I find weren't converted to FBA and I have to start ALL OVER because the system doesn't retain the items I've selected so far.

The same thing happens when an item hasn't been converted to FBA...If I then convert it while creating a shipment, it doesn't show up in the FBA inventory view until I refresh the list and of course that deletes all items I have selected so far and I have to start over. The search function is useless because using that ALSO deletes all selected items. This is insane.

Is there some way to do this easily or is there some reason Amazon keeps making me start over with this????

Hi,

When you select "send" and "Go" from your FBA page it creates an order. Then you can send more items to that individual order.

Are you saying that you are selecting "Send" and not "Go"?

Gail

If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you are trying to select everything you want to send before starting up an order.

I rarely select all of the items that I am shipping at one time. I start with maybe one or two and select the "Go" button, enter the quantity to start up the order and then I will go back and add another one or two to the order until I feel it is complete.

I select Manage FBA Inventory, then I find my items (manually by going through each and every page of my FBA inventory, because if i use the search function, it deletes all previous selections)....I select the items I want to send, then I select Send/Replenish Inventory and click GO and that takes me to the page where it shows my shipment split up among FCs....Once I've done that, if I want to add an item to this shipment(s), I can't figure out how to do it....do I select ONE of the multiple warehouses to WORK ON SHIPMENT and then somehow add additional items there (not additional QUANTITIES, addition SKUs)?

I send in 35 - 45 SKUs in each time.

it's not doing that...every time i go back to add something it creates another shipment/shipments with different warehouses....

You keep saying click GO....do you mean select Send/Replenish and then click the orange GO button? That's what I am doing and everytime i go to select more items it keeps creating new shipments.....nothing gets added to the previous shipment created.

Here is exactly how I am navigating: Hover over Inventory tab, Click Manage FBA Inventory...then I select my items by the checkboxes, then I select Send/Replenish Inventory, then I click GO, which creates the shipments for the various FCs....at that point I can't NOT figure out how to add more SKUs....every time I do, I get a completely new set of FCs and it's not adding to the one I am working on.

Usually dealing with about 3 warehouses.

not seeing add to a shipment....which screen?

I am thinking there is something very basic I am missing here, like maybe I shouldn't be going through the Manage FBA Inventory screen to set up my shipments, because when I do, I have to include all SKUs exactly on the first try before assigning quantities on the following page....

I created a "pretend" order and let me see if I can post where it shows that:

o
PHX6
Phoenix, AZ 85043
3 SKUs, 5 Units
Show/Hide SKUs
What do you want to do with these items?
Create a New Shipment:
Add to an Existing Shipment:

You would see the screen when you input a quantity to ship after you selected "Go" from the FBA inventory page.

you keep saying you are creating orders....you are creating shipments, right?

Your above summary doesn't look familar to me...I don't get any questions about what I want to do with this shipment.....it just goes to the screen where you enter the quantities, then it splits up the shipment between warehouses and the only thing I can do is alter quantities, not the actual items i want to send it....

Yes, that is what I meant, wrong terminology sorry.

i think there is a way to create shipments by scanning and creating a box by clicking on Scan & Ship at the top of the Shipping Queue page, but i don't have a scanner so I am not using that methodology.

I keep saying i have to include all SKUs exactly because I haven't been able to figure out how to correct it when I've missed an item.

However, I just noticed the What Do You Want to Do with These items notice when the warehouses come up, so maybe that is the clue I've been looking for....will keep you posted if that doesn't pan out.

Seems awfully complicated for what I am trying to accomplish, if you ask me.

i think the part i was missing was that little option under the various warehouses about "what do you want to do with this shipment"....I hadn't noticed that before we discussed this here today...hopefully that was the missing link!

thanks for your help!
